In the tradition of fine private clubs

Membership is Strictly by Invitation and Recommendation only

Every new Member who joins the Club must be recommended by, and receive an invitation from a current Member or from the Club directly. Members’ nominees must be approved by the Admissions Committee.  The Committee’s task is to help the roster of club members to grow steadily and assist the management so the balance, quality and compatibility of members is always maintained.

At the core of our work is

A passion to see Africa become a Global Economic Powerhouse

We believe that if Africa is ever going to realise her potential for economic development, we need to see the emergence of more internationally recognised African brands. Our work is as much about taking African companies to world markets as it is about opening African markets to the world; and our members play a prominent role in helping us achieve these primary objectives.

A half-century into this independence era, it is long past time to put aside old stereotypes of an Africa forever mired in poverty and conflict. The world must recognize Africa’s extraordinary progress. Today, Africa is one of the fastest-growing regions in the world. Africa’s middle class is projected to grow to more than one billion consumers. With hundreds of millions of mobile phones, surging access to the Internet, Africans are beginning to leapfrog old technologies into new prosperity. Africa is on the move, a new Africa is emerging.

Africa’s risks are mainly perceived and not real. Unfortunately for us in Africa we are not really very good at telling our own story. But things are changing and people are beginning to understand that things are going very, very well.

Africa is a continent of many countries, not one country. If we are down to three or four conflicts, it means that there are plenty of opportunities to invest in stable, growing, exciting economies where there’s plenty of opportunity.

We wouldn’t be investing as much in the rest of Africa if we didn’t believe. Africa will be the success story in the next decades…Africa is on the move and it is moving forward.
